JOB TITLE:

Thai Specialty Chef

LOCATION: COCO PALM DHUNI KOLHU (MALDIVES)

OVERVIEW:

A Thai specialty chef focuses on the rich and diverse culinary

traditions of Thailand. This role involves expertise in

preparing traditional dishes, utilizing authentic ingredients,

and mastering various cooking techniques unique to Thai

cuisine. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant

impact on our guests’ dining experiences while enjoying the

breathtaking beauty of the Maldives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist the Executive Chef in developing innovative and

seasonal menus that reflect our resort’s high standards.

• Supervise and mentor kitchen staff, including training,

scheduling, and conducting performance evaluations.

• Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented

according to the resort’s standards of quality and

consistency.

• Collaborate with the Executive Chef to create unique

dining experiences, special events, and themed

promotions.

• Manage inventory, order supplies, and control food costs

to adhere to budgetary guidelines.

• Maintain rigorous food safety and sanitation standards to

ensure a safe and clean kitchen environment.

• Foster a positive work atmosphere by leading with

enthusiasm, professionalism, and a strong work ethics.

• Address and resolve any kitchen issues or guest

concerns promptly and effectively.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven experience as a Sous Chef or similar role in a

high-end resort or hotel kitchen.

• Culinary degree or equivalent professional experience

preferred.

• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to

motivate and manage a diverse team.

• Extensive knowledge of culinary techniques,

ingredients, and food safety practices.

• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage

multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

• Excellent communication skills and the ability to

collaborate with other departments.
