Northwest Fire Weather Summary
The Pacific Northwest will be cooler today, close to seasonal normal. Breezy winds will taper off later in the day, so the
stronger winds will hit before relative humidity bottoms out this afternoon. This afternoon will have a slight chance for
isolated thunderstorms along the southeast of the Blue Mountains and the eastern edge of Washington. Calmer and
seasonably warm and dry conditions will follow tomorrow and Friday, with some potential for showers/thunderstorms both
afternoons around the east side mountains. Another upper-level trough will approach over the weekend resulting in cooler
but seasonable temperatures, breezy winds, and maybe some showers and wet thunderstorms along the Canadian
border in central and eastern Washington.

Northwest Fire Potential Summary
Warm, dry weather along with breezy winds and potential for lighting will maintain moderate potential for significant fire
development in central Washington and southeastern Oregon PSAs today. Due to dry lightning and forecasted gusty
winds throughout the day suppression efforts will be challenging in low elevation fine fuels.
