Math Summer Activity Choice Board for Grades 3-5: Making Connections

Let’s celebrate summer by making connections with friends, family...and math! The options below will give you an

opportunity to communicate your math reasoning and also consider the math arguments of others. Summer math

loss can really happen, which is why all ETSD students are asked to participate in a summer math project using

some of the authentic tasks from the choice board below. Upper elementary grade students should review the

twelve options provided and select a minimum of FIVE to complete. The shaded middle box is required, the other

four boxes are up to you! If you really want to be challenged, do as many of the other boxes as you can before

school starts in September! Don’t be afraid to do an activity multiple times if you like it. We can’t wait to see and

hear how you used math this summer when you return to school!
