Kit Kat Burfi | The Rasoi Recipes

Preparation and Cooking Time: 45 min.

Ingredients:

21⁄2 cup Rice Krispies 1⁄2 cup Pistachio

21⁄2 cup Cornflakes 300g Butter

8 Pieces Shredded Wheat 450g Golden Syrup

150g Rich Tea Biscuits 300g Cooking Milk chocolate

500g Digestive Biscuits 150g Orange Flavour Chocolate

1 cup Almonds 6 tbsp Cocoa Powder

1 cup Cashew Nuts

Method:

1. Coarsely grind the rice krispies, cornflakes, shredded wheat, biscuits, almonds, cashew nuts and

pistachios. Mix them well and set aside.

2. Melt the butter on low heat in a large saucepan. Add the golden syrup and sift the cocoa powder in,

making sure it has combined well. Turn off the heat.

3. Add the cereal and biscuits mixture and mix well until everything has combined.

4. In a 14-inch rectangle tray, line up with parchment paper and pour the mixture; press it down hard to

flatten and smoothen it.

• Put a bowl over boiling water and melt the orange flavour and cooking chocolate.

• Once the chocolate has melted, pour it over the barfi.

• Place it in the fridge overnight and cut into small squares the next day.
