● The 2024-2025 Out of District Transfer Application is now available. Out of district transfer applications will be submitted online. Paper
applications will NOT be accepted. The application is REQUIRED for any student who would like to attend Lawrenceburg Community
School Corporation and lives outside of the school district. Parent/Guardian must fill out a form for EVERY student that wishes to transfer.
Parent/Guardian must also complete registration online for EVERY student

● Homework Help is Monday - Thursday (EXCEPT Fridays for Friday School) from 3:15-4:30 and will be held in the VU Room
● Seniors and Senior Parents - Attached is the April Senior Newsletter. It provides a wealth of useful information for families. We
will continue to update information on current scholarships and distribute those in upcoming Newsletter editions. Please contact

● Seniors can apply now for the 2024 Tremain Scholarship even if they have not yet completed their required 50 hours of approved
community service. We encourage students to apply now versus waiting for the deadline. The 2024 Tremain Scholarship
Application can be found under the Scholarship Tab on our website (dearborncf.org). The application is one of the required
criteria to participate in the program. STUDENTS SHOULD NOT USE THEIR LAWRENCEBURG SCHOOL EMAIL ADDRESS

● Ivy Tech Community College – Lawrenceburg Campus will be hosting Senior Visit Days for the Class of 2024. This is an opportunity for
any Senior, planning to attend or interested in attending Ivy Tech, to meet with our Admissions Team. Interested students can view the

ATTENDANCE:
Please submit the form below if your child is unable to attend school. Please complete by 8:00AM or you will get a phone call. You may
make a submission in advance, if you know your child will not be in attendance on a given day or days. Please submit a separate form for
each child. You will receive an email to confirm we have gotten your response. Please also be prepared for follow up questions in the

ACTIVITIES/CLUBS:
● Tiger Pizazz auditions for next school year will be held on April 23rd & 25th. Any student at LHS or any 8th grader at GMS or St
Lawrence is eligible to audition. Please join the google classroom for more information. Contact Mrs. Herrick with any questions.

● LHS/GMS Spring Band Concert will be held on May 2, 2024 at 6:00pm in the LHS Auditorium.
● LHS Spring Choir Concert - May 17 7:00pm
● Interested in being a positive role model for our youth? Would you like to learn the right officiating calls for your favorite sport?
How about a little extra spending cash? Look no further and become a licensed official for our youth and today's sports. Mr.
Leiker has a limited number of free seats to become a licensed official. It is a great way to learn more about sports while giving
back to our youth. Please reach out by contacting Mr. Leiker for more details.
UPCOMING EVENTS:
● April 30th, Beacon Orthopedics will be at Lawrenceburg High School after school hours to conduct sports physicals. This event
offers a convenient and efficient way for athletes to complete all necessary physical documentation for the upcoming 2024-2025
seasons. Stay tuned for more details as the date approaches.
● St. Elizabeth Healthcare High School Service Internship Program. Internship tracks include Patient Care, Engineering/Facilities,
Information Technology, Business/Marketing, and Culinary. Students complete this program during their senior year, but must
apply during junior year. Please stop by the Guidance Office for assistance with the application process. Visit
www.stelizabeth.com/volinternship for application requirements; any student interested in participating in the program must
complete the full application process outlined on the webpage. Applications must be submitted by March 1st. Applications will be
reviewed; some applicants will be selected for interviews followed by acceptance/denial letters which will be mailed to the
students’ homes. Internship opportunities at St. Elizabeth are limited in number and by location. If you have any questions
regarding the St. Elizabeth Service Internship or High School Volunteer Programs, please call (859) 301-2140 or email

● Applications for the St. Elizabeth Healthcare High School Volunteer Program and registration for our next Applicant Information
Sessions are currently available online at www.stelizabeth.com/high-school-volunteer. Each student is asked to make a
commitment for one session (upcoming Session 1 of 2024 is January through mid-May) with a regularly scheduled 3-4-hour
volunteer shift each week, without excessive absences. Both clinical and non-clinical departments are included in our volunteer
opportunities. Any student interested in participating in our program must register online for one of our Applicant Information
Sessions and complete an Online Volunteer Application. If students have previously participated in a St. Elizabeth Volunteer
Program, they should call (859) 301-2140 to reserve their placement. If you have any questions regarding St. Elizabeth’s High

● The Lawrenceburg Shakespeare Company is starting a new venture! We will be presenting Annie Jr! Performance dates will be September
27 & 28, 2024. Please see the detailed information listed below. Students CURRENTLY (2023-24) in grades 5-10 at LHS, GMS & CES
may audition. (Sorry, Juniors and Seniors - you will not be casted in this show. However, you may apply to be a student leader! Details
later.) The Lawrenceburg Shakespeare Company currently produces shows at LHS - most recently Little Shop of Horrors and The Music
Man. It is the title for the drama department at LHS.

COMMUNITY SERVICE OPPORTUNITIES:
● The Greendale Police Spring Spruce Up for Tremain Community Service Hours. Help is needed to pull weeds in front of the
building, help organize the garage and wash some of the police cruisers. They are willing to work with students' schedules and
estimate three hours per student. Interested students should contact Deanna McAtee 812 537-1321.
● Need Dearborn County Community Service Hours? Consider volunteering at a GMS track event! Check out the sign-up sheet.

● LPS/CES PTO Spring Carnival on April 26th for up to 4.5 Tremain Community Service Hours. Help is needed with setup and
cleanup, kitchen help, custodial work in the cafeteria, prize booth and games.

● Dearborn Adult Center's Daddy Daughter Dance for up to 3 Tremain Community Service Hours. The dance is from 5-8 p.m. on
Saturday April 27th. Help is needed with serving snacks and drinks, picking up trash during the event and passing out goodie

● Tiger Pride Concessions for Tremain Community Service Hours beginning 10-6-2023 through the end of the 2023-2024 school
year. If a student is "earning" funds to use towards a sport they are participating in then they cannot also receive Tremain

● St. Lawrence after school latchkey program for Tremain Community Service Hours beginning today for the school 2023-2024

● Greendale Middle School - help is needed for the scoreboard, scorekeeper, set up and chain gang. Various dates for 2-3 hours
per event. They also need help with working the Concession stands for sporting events.

● Greendale Main Street Dumpster Day for up to 4 Tremain Community Service Hours. Help is needed Saturday April 27th from 9
a.m. - Noon. Students are needed to assist Greendale residents unload unwanted items from their cars and place them in
dumpsters. There will be some heavy lifting. Interested students should contact Ryan Goode 812 577-2434.
