FROM THEPRINCIPAL
Dear Parents
Here we are at the end of Term One wondering where the past 10 weeks have gone! However, we can reflect
upon the past weeks and be very satisfied with all that has been achieved inside and outside the classroom,
contributing to a quality Catholic education for our students. All students have worked well throughout the
term and are definitely ready for a well-deserved break.
Let us put ourselves int o t he hands of t he Lord,
and pray t hat God will bless us and our fam ilies during t he com ing holy days.
May each of us help t o m ake our hom es places of joy, love, peace and safet y.

This week began with the very colourful and creative Easter Hat Parade. Congratulations to parents and
students for accepting the challenge of creating hats using the specific materials. All hats were very impressive.
Many thanks to our generous P&F for supplying the Easter eggs on the day.
On a more personal note, thank you to the whole St Joseph?s Community for your support, generosity and warm
welcome shown to us as we settle into life in Oberon. The term has certainly flown by and we look forward to
many more to come.
Please enjoy a restful and safe break from the routines of school life. See you in Term 2.

There will be no assembly this week due to the Good Friday Public Holiday.
East er Hat Parade
On Monday we held our Easter Hat Parade. It was a wonderful occasion to see the amazing effort our
students had gone to with their creative Easter hats and to have our families back in the school.
Wear Red for Ronald McDonald House in Orange
Our students also dressed in red on Monday to show support and raise funds for Ronald McDonald
House in Orange. This organisation supports local families in their time of need.
Many thanks to our wonderful families. $168.80 was raised.
Wint er uniform
As the end of the term draws to a close it is a timely reminder that our students are expected to wear
winter uniform as of next term. This includes a tie and all items such as beanies must be in school
colours. Students are not permitted to wear items with labels or logos other than St Joseph?s logo.
Students are still asked to bring their school hats to wear daily. All uniforms are available to be
purchased from Rosedale Gifts in Oberon.
Further to this, a reminder that girls are not permitted to wear makeup, nail polish or earrings other
than small studs or sleepers. Thank you for your support in ensuring our students look respectable
and equitable in the same uniform.
Holidays
It is hard to believe that we are already at the
conclusion of term one! It has been a fast paced term
with the highlight been having Covid restrictions
relaxed. We have been involved in many activities and
parent involvement back in the school has been a
lovely change. We thank everyone for their patience
and understanding as we continue to navigate these
unusual times.
Wishing everyone a joyful and restful Easter break as
we all recharge ready for Term 2.
Best wishes for a wonderful week of faith, learning and happiness,

FROM FATHER REYNOLD
Dear friends in Christ,
Happy Easter to one and all!
He is Risen! Resurrection reveals to us the beauty of life. Life is beautiful. It is made beautiful because Christ has
conquered death.
He is Risen! The mystery of our faith is beautiful. Resurrection and life unpack to us the beauty and this invitation to
encounter the Risen Lord because ?I have come that they may have life, and have it abundantly.?(Jn 10:10)
Thank you and may God bless you.

FROM THE REC
In this, the holiest of weeks in the Christian calendar, there are many elements that we can
focus on. A very powerful theme is forgiveness.
?Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.?
Jesus?forgiveness of others was radical and to a degree never seen before. While hanging on
the Cross and enduring the cruelty of others, Jesus spoke words of forgiveness. He forgave
them in the midst of His persecution.
What?s more is that He even acknowledged that those crucifying Him were not fully
responsible. They clearly did not know what they were doing. This humble acknowledgment
of Jesus shows the depth of His tender mercy. It reveals He died not in anger or resentment,
but in willing sacrifice.
Can you say these words? Can you call to mind the person who has
hurt you and pray that the Father forgives them? Leave judgment to
God and offer mercy and forgiveness.
?I assure you, today you will be with me in paradise.?
I wish each of you a peaceful and holy Easter
Wishing you every blessing,
Anne Gibbons
