Resolution for the DUTA GBM on amendment of FEDCUTA Constitution: 25.11.2019
The DUTA GBM ratifies the following amendments to the FEDCUTA Constitution in keeping with the
procedure for amendment laid down in the FEDCUTA Constitution: The objectives of these amendments
are to 1) to expand the FEDCUTA Secretariat in view of the increase in the number of Central Universities
and 2) to grant Special Membership to Teachers’ Associations of State Universities in Union Territories/
NCT.
The FEDCUTA, in its National Executive Meeting held on 15 July 2017, had proposed the following
amendments to its Constitution and requested members to place the amendments for ratification by the
“supreme bodies” of the association as per the requirement of the Constitution.
The existing clauses followed by the proposed amendments are given below:

(i) The Secretariat and the Executive
Committee of the Federation will be elected by
the National Executive with three positions i.e.
President, Secretary and a Treasurer rotating
Delhi-based members and the other three
positions i.e. two Vice-Presidents and a Joint
Secretary rotating among outside Delhi members.
They shall hold office for a period of two years.

(i) The Secretariat of the Federation will be
elected by the National Executive with three
positions, i.e. President, Secretary and Treasurer
from among Delhi-based members on rotational
basis and six other positions, i.e. three Vice- Presidents and three Joint Secretaries rotating
from among outside Delhi members.They shall
hold office for a period of two years.

(i) The quorum for a meeting of the Secretariat
shall be at least one half of the total
membership.

of the Federation shall apply for the same in the
prescribed form along with a draft of the
prescribed annual fee to be determined by the
National Executive Committee of the Federation
from time to time, and shall be enrolled as a
member of the Federation.
(iii) The membership fee shall be Rs. 2500/- p.a.
However, the same can be raised, if necessary,
from time to time, as per the decisions of the
National Executive.
