Our Company

The Web Designer Academy was founded by Shannon Mattern in 2016 to help

women web designers create freedom, flexibility, and financial independence via

simple yet powerful business strategies and mindset coaching so you can stop

undervaluing your impact, stop undercharging and overdelivering, and create more

income, impact, and balance in your life.

We’ve invited YOU to work with us because we see the opportunities and potential

for you to successfully implement our strategies to reach your goals.

The Web Designer Academy is a high-touch group training and coaching

experience, which means that while we want you to master our strategies, methods,

frameworks, and “way of doing things” - we know that you’ll bring your own

valuable perspective, flavor, experiences, and zone of genius to our frameworks

too.

We provide mentorship that combines business + marketing strategies with mindset

coaching and ongoing client management support.

Our clients and community are like nothing else out there. We are a welcoming,

supportive and fun community nicknamed the “WDA Fam” We value time freedom,

work-life balance, personal growth and development and fun :)

Program Length

Participants will have a total of 12 months to access and implement the

program curriculum (extensions may be granted in extenuating circumstances at

our discretion).

The full program is available at the time of enrollment.

Time Investment:

● Total time of pre-recorded program curriculum available on demand --> 30

hours (not including pre-recorded bonus workshops).

● Estimated implementation time: --> 100 hours (completing exercises,

creating packages, implementing our suggestions, getting coaching).

● Estimated live participation time (optional) attending live strategy calls or

bonus workshops: --> 60 hours

To put it in perspective... if you work 40 hours a week and take 4 weeks of vacation...

that’s 1,920 working hours over 12 months.

The total time commitment of the Web Designer Academy is just 190 hours over 12

months (or 10% of a 40 hour workweek, about 4 hours a week on average).

Our program is designed to be completely autonomous and asynchronous (meaning

you get to work completely on your own schedule and timeline and still get our full

support).

Program Format

Application Process: We vet every program participant and only invite people to

join our program who we’re confident we can help, who are at a similar level of

business and who have similar challenges and goals so that all program participants

benefit from the rest of the group. If we accepted your application, you won’t be too

new or too advanced for the program.

On-Demand Enrollment and Onboarding: You don’t have to wait until the next

“cohort” starts to join our program, you can join when you are ready and you’ll get

to work with us for 12 months from the time you enroll. You get the same

personalized onboarding, attention and support in a group setting regardless of

when you enroll.

Curriculum: The Web Designer Academy curriculum is delivered self-paced,

on-demand via both video and audio recordings via an online student portal.

Live Group Coaching Sessions: There are a total of 50 live group coaching

sessions with Shannon that happen on Zoom at 3PM Eastern on Tuesdays.
